I date mostly outside of my race so there isn't really one answer. I live in a city that is quite racially diverse though. I think it helps that I'm white- white men are considered the "standard" in America in both beauty and financial sucess although black men gain a bonus from being seen as more masculine. Yes, it's sterotyping but that affects many people.
People here are pretty open to inter racial dating, at least in my experience. Heck, some like dating outside their race to experience something different, get into a new social circle (sometimes people still self segregate via race) or be able to be a "freak" and not ahve it come back to their community.
Again, being white I think helps. Some black women, especially professional ones, see white men as being financially successful and thus good matches. I was walking with a dark skinned girlfriend once and several black women with kids pass us. One said very loudly, "that's what I need! I need to find me a white man!"
Some Asian women see white men as being more masculine than Asian men (kinda silly really but how many macho Asian men do the media or Hollywood portray outside of movies made in Asian?) and other races (especially black) are sometimes looked down by traditional Asian parents. Some Asian women also see having mixed marriages and children as ways of assimilating.
She spilled her chitterlings on my white bread. It was love at first bite!
LMAO!! I think you meant to say "she spilled her chitlins on your white bread"
