Can I live without sex? Yes. Would I want to? No. Do I have a choice? Most of the time, no.

No one has ever died from not having sex. So let's dispense with the semantics.
I do not believe it is a need unless you want to have a kid. It is a want.

I haven't had sex in 17 years. I'm 33 and it turns out I'm already going through andropause. They put me on androgel and it causes me to feel super lonely. I don't know how much longer I can go without intimate human contact, but I'm so asocial and socially retarded I suppose I'll find out.

Physical human contact is a need. Get a massage, at the very least.

No it isn't. People don't touch me and I seem to still be breathing. I don't get that people have an 'urge' to touch others anyways.

I've gone without it for the past 26 years, and I could probably go another 26 years.

It's that or die for some of us...depends if your question is about being "alive" or really living.

Psychologists say that it's a need for emotional well-being. We can go without it, but we're happier when we have human contact.

Oh okay, well I disagree with them then LOL. Some people think just because it's some kind of 'do or die need' for them it's same for everyone. I don't like 'human contact' so I wouldn't be happier.
