Ok, so my ideal mate would be one that is physically active and enjoys pushing herself once in a while.

I enjoy mountain biking, road biking, hiking, camping, rock climbing, and snowboarding.

I'm not looking for a girl who does all of that (be nice though) but it would be fun if I could find one that does something.

It seems 90% of the profiles are like this (180+ matches)... (Leisure time)

A balance of sharing time with friends and saving some for myself. I really enjoy drinks out with friends sharing in good conversation. For myself, I enjoy anything I find to be calming or relaxing (this could range from reading, vegging or working on one of my various artistic projects.)

It seems like most girls ideas of being outside is walking their dog in the park.

Hardly ANY of the profiles include pictures of the girls actually doing something.

Am I asking to much?

Anybody else notice this?

I can't imagine, with how popular that site is, that there wouldn't be anyone compatible.

E-harmony is a little too vanilla for me. Plus finding someone is just not that important for me to answer 2,000 questions in the hopes of being approved. But I do hope you find someone.

Just an observation, but eHarmony seems to be one of those sites that works best for the middle-of-the-road, plain-vanilla types (not that there's anything wrong with that).

I'm surprised, living in CO, that you are not meeting women who do those sports. Do you race? Belong to any teams or clubs? I'd suggest that first. Group rides and outings. I've met pretty much everyone I've ever dated at a race or on a club ride.

Good luck.

the problem with e-harmony is that you don't get to browse and read profiles yourself, to my mind it is a rip-off, i found many more interesting well-matched people through other sites, those where I could read profiles myself and write people directly

I do now I did my first CO mountain bike race at WP last weekend. Going to do the one at the end of August. I think you are onto something there

I'm guessing the type of girl I seek is in demand in Colorado. There are a ton of guys like me that do everything they can outside. All looking for the same time of girl. I'm guessing this type of girl does not need a website to find a mate.

Heck, I would think if you are single girl wanting to find somebody. Move to Colorado. Take up mountain biking, hiking, and climbing. You will be hitched in no time :P

I get the impression that most people on EHarmony are the type to settle. Maybe I'm wrong, and no offense to you. :-)

Maybe you can bike the date up to the top of the hill and she can paint you a picture of the view....maybe she can do that?

Underlined quote: That's why they are still single. They are sitting at home on the couch eating chips and watching dating shows and petting their cat.

(Women reading this stop petting cat. Then look over as the cat looks at her)

I agree with the above. I think if you just get out there and do the things you enjoy you'll meet some appropriate women. Active people are drawn to Colorado.
