In early India, along the Malabar coast and in the foothills of the Himalayas, there was a custom of polyandry: which permitted a woman to have several husbands. In the great epic, Mahabharata, its heroine was married to five brothers from the same family.
Now, let's try to imagine what went on in one of those households, with a woman married to 5 husbands living under the same roof.
If there had been a child, who, pray tell, would have been the father? In a polygamous relationship, with a man with 5 wives, that would be quite obvious, who the father was. But in this situation?
If this practice were to be revived and accepted, do you know of any woman alive that would be attracted to a polyandrous lifestyle?
Yes me. my husband and I would happily accept another man into our home.... Unfortunately bisexual men who believe in polyandry are in short supply...
This reminded me of a joke in what I think was one of the Road To movies. They asked the woman of the tribe about how she can have so many husbands. The woman said something to the effect that she and Western women weren't all that different. She has all of her husbands at once and they have all of their husbands back to back lol I have nothing to contribute other than that. Good day.
So this would be with men who are a lot older otherwise this woman would be having almost non stop sex or some of the men would leave. I would not even sort of be ok with sex once a week or even 2-3 times a week. So she would need to service me 5 times a week and I imagine the other guys would feel similar. So she would have everything done for her and her sole job would be not to screw up the sex make sure its good and satisfy each guys kinks, otherwise it would probably not work out.
Its not my business to tell consenting normal adults what they can or can not do.
No but the US courts seem to like to, I could not even imagine the legal fall out if one of the guys decided to leave the arrangement and kids were involved. Time to leave the nation.
I know someone who lives with her legal husband and a long term boyfriend (they both consider him a second husband, but legally he can't be.)
He could if she married him in Mexico, or some other foreign jurisdiction.
