I have noticed that a woman's voice has a much greater range on the pleasing-annoying scale.

Maybe it is just because I am a guy and therefore not unbiased but a female voice can be so beautiful, pleasant, and soothing, angelic even. And yet it can be the most god-awful, cringing, nails-on-the-chalkboard, somebody-stepped-on-the-cat's-tail kind of torture. I don't find male voices to be either extreme.

Seems to me that the female voice has a range of 1-10 on the pleasance scale while the male voice has more of a 3-7 range.

Two kinds of people who I find absolutely hysterical are the guys who try deepen their voice in order to sound more manly and the women who try to sound more girly.

No fair! It's not easy to say "Spinx" without sounding like you're expectorating.

I love to hear most accents other than my own. Since I spent my early years in the CA, NY, and the South, I have a mixture of all three topped off with a southern drawl....ever' nown' again!

British and Australian are my favorite!

LOL, I'm surprised an American would even know who Ricky Ponting is.
