"My car broke down" when her car was just fine the next day. "I'm going to be out of town" when she was home. "I'm going to a basketball game" when we both know you don't know what a personal foul is. "Ask me another time" always cracked me up...she apparently thinks we're going to live forever. The "I'm busy" excuse always makes me laugh too. Then catching them in a total lie when it turns out they're interested and like "Well yeah I just said that as an easy out incase you turned out to be a jerk". Why not just say "You're a jerk" and walk away. I don't understand the science behind making up stuff when turning a guy down. Just say "No thanks". Women unintentionally play games with every guy by not saying exactly what they feel.

Ah, you must not be familiar with TVSG. The examples I gave are all excuses he had for turning down dates.

I'm familiar but I try to treat all threads in an unbiased manner and state whatever I have to contribute. I can see my posts will go to waste here.

This is exactly why this is my first post ever on TVSG's thread.

At what point do you realize that if they are all 'busy' the problem isn't them....but you?

On the other hand, why might not the women in question actually BE busy for a little while but open to something in a week or two? Sedentary one-dimensional schloompfs without a life are often befuddled when faced with the fact that the world isn't comprised of people just like them.

Valid point! I actually find that when I am busiest is when I meet someone I would like to spend time with - but unfortunately have limited time available in the immediate future to devote to them. Sometimes we girls really are busy.

But do you really want someone just sitting at home waiting for an internet date? I would prefer a guy who has previous plans and isn't available every day.

TVSG, Just a little constructive criticism, not intended to be offensive. When you start threads like this it just tends to invite ridicule and I know that can't be making things any better. Why in the world would you title this thread that states that women in your area think you're retarded? It really comes across as though there really is something wrong with you and you keep setting yourself up for more because all of your threads appear to have the same underlying theme. This makes me think that in the real world it's highly likely that you're behaving in such a manner than you're undermining your chances of actually meeting a nice woman and establishing a good relationship which is really a shame. I'm just suggesting that you should take a good look at how you're presenting yourself to other people and consider the fact that what you're doing isn't working and that you should make an effort to do something about it.
