I have often found that the stages of grief are more for the living than for the dying. In my culture we look at death and dying as a passageway to the other world, for those who are left in this world, they go through a short period of mourning out of respect and then continue on with their life in this world.

Hello everyone thought I would stop in and say hello. I am helping my 11 year old babysit and it means I did a lot of it but now the little one is asleep and I can sit here and play on my laptop. What does everyone plan to do for this 3 day weekend?

Monday marks the birthday of a very influential civil rights leader. There was a big event on August 28, 1963 that propelled this individual into national recognition and the words that he spoke on that eventful day are words that have lived with us since then and had been repeated many times over, but on that fateful day in 1963 I was present to hear those words spoken for the very first time. I will honor the memory of this great man on his birthday.
