Goodnight Mrs. Calabash wherever you are. Little story behind that, when Jimmy Duranty was touring with his band back in the 40s he used to stop at a restaurant in Myrtle Beach that was called The Calabash and that's where him and his band spent a lot of time while they were there, he made a promise to the woman that owned that restaurant, that he would remember her when he became famous because she treated him and his band very well, that was his way of remembering her and her restaurant....
LOL that's ight..It was Mrs Calabash ( I am not only getting old but maybe forgetful too
Who referred to Mrs Mcgillicutty..was it Red Skelton?
Yeah thats what my kids say too..... I Love Lucy has been on for years but as a kid I watched it. Now I will hobble back to my rocker and drink my beer... HIC....
I imagine if someone took a poll most of the posters in this forum are 50+ (except of course you)
Me?
I'm over 60 (well over).
I'm not saying I am young, but here I thought of Jazzy mom as a 30 something and June as a nubile little thing and, well........Miss Blue........can I say my thoughts about you have been anything but philosophical or religious........perhaps a bit more carnal than otherwise?
I do believe, though, that if you remember the 60's, you weren't really there..........

I grew up in the 60s and always wished I had been born 10 years earlier so I could have been a hippie living in San Francisco.... I also would have gone to woodstock but I was only 10........ OH well.....
