Is how we live more important than what we believe? (Mormon, quote)

You phrased the question in a binary, either/or format. IMO, that is both inaccurate and unfortunate. I think a better way to consider the issue may be the degree to which our thoughts, behaviors and practices reflect our stated beliefs. In other words, as one of my favorite anonymous quotations states:
"People hear what you say, but they believe what you do. Walk your talk."

I would think how we live is at least as important as what we believe. One is reflected in the other, is it not? Discuss.
I started a very similar thread recently over on the Christianity forum. I hope you get more response than I did. Surprising as it may be to some people, as a Mormon who believes in absolute truth, I also believe that how we live is more important than what we believe.
How we live is an affirmation of what we really believe. A person may say they believe something and possibly even think they believe it, but how they live will tell what they really believe. How one lives will show what the person actually believes. We can lie about what we believe, but our life will show our true belief.

This is basically what I came to post.
"Our life is shaped by our mind; we become what we think. Suffering follows an evil thought as the wheels of a cart follow the oxen that draw it.
Our life is shaped by our mind; we become what we think. Joy follows a pure thought like a shadow that never leaves." -Dhammapada
People pretty much act the same no matter what they believe and say.
I don't think that is true at all.
