End Times radio host Rick Wiles said that an outbreak of Ebola in the U.S. might actually be a good thing if it ends up giving an “attitude adjustment” to all the gays and atheists, along with people who use pornography or have had an abortion, who will die if they aren’t “protected by God.”
Did you even read my post? I didn't mention guilt or innocence. I was talking about punishment.
Usually punishment implies guilt in some way, shape, or form.

Yeah, I always punish someone else when my kids do something wrong.
It would be more than that... murders, rapes, theft, greed, idolatry, hetero adultery, pedophilia, drunkenness... sin is much broader than just homosexuality and atheism.

The guy in the OP is talking about how Ebola would fix the problem with gays, people who have abortions, people who watch porn, etc.
I was wondering why your god is punishing the people in Africa, if this about Americans sins? So far the only two Americans who have Ebola are heterosexual Christians, not homosexual atheists who watch porn while having abortions.
Seems your god isn't so good at punishing the object of his scorn.

God is simply patient in dealing with sin - but when he deals with it, it will be thorough.
Ebola was that guy's opinion. Ebola may not be the avenue God uses. It may be the financial brick wall we will hit if we don't change course. It may be a large scale terror attack.
The fact is this country is drowning in sin (among both Christians and non-Christians) and God can use numerous resources to deal with a sinful country.
In a normal world, the appearance of an office-holder on the program of such a heinous individual would end that office-holder's political career. Of course, in this world the office-holder is there precisely because the heinous lunatic has an audience that the office-holder covets.

At some point, God will have His fill of sin in the country.
Jonah warned a country of their sins and God's coming judgment, and they actually changed their ways and were spared.
Or it could be that Zeus, not God, is the one having a snit.
Or... hear me out here... it could be simply the normal episodic behavior of a disease that reservoirs in bats and occasionally jumps to humans, spawning a brief and limited yet highly lethal outbreak, which kills some Africans and the odd western physician providing treatment.
Gee, I wonder which of those it could possible be?

America is a country. Diseases infect individuals. Try to separate reality from your apocalyptic fantasies.
