Here is a possibility about Satan that no one has considered.
Satan was one of thirteen angels before he rebelled. In heaven, he (it) pretend to be God. He formed a circle, just like God, and tricked the other angels into worshiping him. Instead of loving the other angels, Satan attacked them. One of the angels went to God and complained that Satan was hurting them. Subsequently, God imprisoned Satan in the universe. Humans are collateral damage from Satan's rebellion. The universe was not created for humans, it was created to imprison Satan.
That's exactly right the bible never mentioned that Satan was good. It would make sense that he was created just for that reason alone. God needed an adversary & Satan was chosen to be the scapegoat.
How about this: G-d created humans, gave them instructions (Law) on how to live righteously, and then appointed HaSatan (adversary, tester) to give opposing choices to humans in order for them to choose to follow G-d's instructions or rebel against them?...Like a method to help you become aware of who you really are...It is easy to do bad, it is harder to do good...
I am wondering if you could provide verses from the Bible which support the idea that Satan was "bad" from the beginning, since creation of him. Or maybe just paraphrase the verses, maybe I can remember where they are coming from.

Me, quote from the bible?
That book is way too scary for me to read. It's worse than Grimm's Fairy Tales!

Yet, when God created humans they didn't know right from wrong. In effect he set them up to fail & it wasn't until they are the fruit of the tree that they understood what they had done.

How about this...what's found in scripture?
2:Samuel 22:31 states, "As for God, his way is perfect: The word of Jehovah (YHWH in the ancient Hebrew) is tried; He is a shield unto all them that take refuge in him." ASV
The Hebrew word used in 2 Samuel 22:31, tā·mîm, means "perfect" and is also used in various scriptures as "blameless."
Isaiah 6:3, "Holy holy, holy is Jehovah..." (ASV) and cross reference Revelation 4:8
What does it mean to be holy qā-ḏō-wōÅ¡( in Hebrew) and hagios (in the Greek)? It means pure, apart from sin, sacred.
In the Book of Job YHWH is having a conversation with the adversary (Satan). And what did Satan subsequently do to Job and his family?
Just as an aside some think that this conversation is an allegory but Job is referred to as a real person in other scriptures.
For those who believe that God created Satan or appointed Satan it's problematic because Satan's actions were and are evil, unholy, not pure, sinful, not sacred, and thus the scriptures about God being perfect, blameless without sin are rendered meaningless.
For those who believe Satan is the evil within us then God was having a conversation with himself and thus God would have evil characteristics.
When Jesus was being tempted by Satan was Satan a real spirit creature or was Jesus being tempted by something within himself? Well if being tempted by something within himself then how could Jesus have been fully tested but without sin (Hebrews 4:15). How could it be that he was without deception (1 Peter 2:22)?
I had a dream about angels in heaven, there were twelve. Twelve seems to be a common number in the Bible, twelve tribes of Israel, twelve disciples, and we have 12X2 in our 24 hour clock, twelve months of the year, etc. Also, knowing that God is a duality, we can divide the hours of the day by two and get twenty-four. It seems logical that God would use twelve for the tribes Israel if there were twelve angels in heaven. It seems to be a reoccurring number. As for thirteen, in many cultures it is an unlucky number. That would be appropriate for "unlucky" Satan who made wrong choices. Before Satan's rebellion there were thirteen angels in heaven. I don't agree about all of those pinhead counts for a multitude of angels.
