There is nothing wrong with thinking a woman is attractive. However, there is something wrong with undressing a woman and imagining be having sex with her in my mind.
It is not hard to avoid the ladder.
A man simply thinking another man is attractive is not a sin.
EVERY man I know, has and does masturbate, especially if they are single.
If a man says he has never or does not masturbate (as a single dude, hell many married or people with gf's masturbate as well) he is 95% probably lying.
Even nuns and priests (people who supposedly dedicated their life to Christianity) fall victim to sins of the flesh.
People are MEANT to be with someone / a significant other on an intimate level. It is very much a humanistic biological natural need.
This has nothing to do with what is best for X person. The Bible doesnt let us pick and choose what is best for us.
It is clearly stated and we all must follow the same code / law if we want to be a Christian.
That is your reality, and it is your path to have intercourse and masturbate till you get carpal tunnel, or go blind or something. It is something you obviously embrace wholeheartedly. That is awesome.
Not everyone is so enthusiastic, and the OP might be in that frame of mind. Will he have a change of heart? Who knows?
His choices are personal. We should support him. We can support with out agreeing with the choice.
Its not pointless. He is claiming one thing, however if he is doing what I described and continues doing it his entire life, then he is in fact not a Christian.
If that offends you then you need to get some thicker skin.
You sure seem to love focusing on other people's sin.
Playing a game of: "My sin is better than you sin"
Like when a murderer stops murdering. I have refrained from killing anyone for years now.
Certainly. One can not continually life a sinful lifestyle. Regardless of the sin.

We should not support sinful lifestyles or people picking and choosing what to obey in the Bible.
I 100% support this man's desire to be a Christian while also being a homosexual. He just needs to understand just how hard that will be and ways to make it a possibility.

Speaking of 'thick', that pride is pretty thick.
On the contrary, I masturbate, and it is one of the biggest things in my life I need / must stop if I want to inherit the Kingdom of God. It's a dangerous game / tight rope to play.
It is something I think about constantly. Hence why I want to get married ASAP to help stop this sinful behavior.
I am in no delusion about my sin and I hope the OP is also aware of his.

When you embrace the love of Jesus, you get a chance to become a new creation.
You have a big thing going with masturbation. Too bad that God never listed masturbation as being a sin.
Masturbation alone is not a sin. However, I do not know many men that masturbate without viewing pornographic material and/or thinking sexual deviant thoughts in their mind.
