It is more than possible to be a Christian and be a homosexual. However, it would require the person to not "act" on their physical desires.

The best bet would be to marry a woman anyway as it is not very practical to think a man can withstand from both intercourse and masturbation.

Its not pointless. He is claiming one thing, however if he is doing what I described and continues doing it his entire life, then he is in fact not a Christian.

If that offends you then you need to get some thicker skin.

Sin is sin.

But there is a difference to simple irregular unplanned sins and living a sinful lifestyle.

Saying a cuss word after hitting your hand with a hammer is not the same as watching porn everyday and masturbating.

You are applying what is best for you to another. Lots of people are capable of not acting on personal desires. It is really not that hard, unless sex and masturbation is the only thing the person thinks about. Then it might be difficult.

That does not seem to be the case, and other99 is taking his own path, not yours.

That sounds nice but it is not really reality.

EVERY man I know, has and does masturbate, especially if they are single.

If a man says he has never or does not masturbate (as a single dude, hell many married or people with gf's masturbate as well) he is 95% probably lying.

Even nuns and priests (people who supposedly dedicated their life to Christianity) fall victim to sins of the flesh.

People are MEANT to be with someone / a significant other on an intimate level. It is very much a humanistic biological natural need.

This has nothing to do with what is best for X person. The Bible doesnt let us pick and choose what is best for us.

It is clearly stated and we all must follow the same code / law if we want to be a Christian.

But doesn't the bible say something about just thinking about something is the same as actually doing it?

So if one has homosexual thoughts it is the same as homosexual act according to Jesus.

Define homosexual thoughts.

I am a warm blooded straight male.

There is nothing wrong with thinking a woman is attractive. However, there is something wrong with undressing a woman and imagining be having sex with her in my mind.

It is not hard to avoid the ladder.

A man simply thinking another man is attractive is not a sin.

You have issues. And your religion isn't helping.

OP, this is for you as you are not alone: Videos | Awaken Manhattan Watch the first video. Also, you should be proud of having the stand that you have. Others may feel differently but it is your path that you should concentrate on. When we feel something is right in our heart and with God, you'll know you are where you should be in your life. My prayers are with you.
