I think his invective was probably that of a fairly conservative believer against a very free-form liberal-minded one. Frequently conservative Christians regard liberal Christians as having insufficient respect for scripture and accuse them of making their beliefs and interpretations up as they go. Miss H positively revels in that by his lights. And I suppose that the combination of his hatred for lib-ruhl Christianity and his annoyance at her being happier than his grim self, was just too much for him to bear ;-)

Lol, Oh, mordie, thanks for the laugh and I love how you said that.

Speaking of happy...I did some 'cringe moment' things the other night..
(I party a lot! Go out a lot! Have many many friends galore.)
So, well... sometimes I may kiss too many guy friends or hug
someone a bit 'too' tight.. say something a bit risque?
So, the next day, I roll my eyes and cringe at myself!

BUT, since these kind of thoughts take me away from my amazing love-connection with the Divine,
I said, "NO."
And, guess what, I overcame 'the enemy' again, the ego-mind that wants to
make us feel separate by feeling stupid.

Nothing is going to trick me into this ego thought system that takes us away from
our birthright...Happiness and knowing, tho we do stupid things...it's ok and move on.
Do better next time, that's all.
Connection to inner peace is where He* wants us.
Many 'believers' don't really get that part in all the scriptures.
