The only true righteousness today comes through the righteousness of the living God Jesus Christ , and which one can obtain through repentance and then faith and obedience to the unseen God , which Jesus has the eternal power to redeem people of sin which then will help to come in line with the righteousness of Jesus Christ ............ For the righteousness of men may help people live a clean life , but only the righteousness of Jesus Christ will give us eternal life

How can one pursue what one claims has been abolished?...

Therefore, those who pursue it are called righteous...
pursue the one who can write that law on the heart, not just on a rock or of all things outward , but inward.
Yes Richard we needed to know the Law . but growth and truth was never to stop there .
if you act perfect and not Have Love and will not be able to love fearlessly. and only be half of what God created us to be and half of what we have to be for eternity.
but with out loving fiercely and lawfully you won't stay good. Just like the Jews never stayed committed very long.
because they were missing at least 1/2 of the story. actually like 2/3 of the story .
do we now do away with the jews and the law , no of course not .
but The law is not the power to stay anything for eternity.
Love is what will get us through eternity.
the Law was never mean to teach anyone Love.
but just to define it .

Every thought you conceive, if it is bearing any moral implications, is judged by your mind of rightness and reason. Then a verdict is expressed, qualifying that thought as right - or wrong.
If thought is against the rightness, a warning will be issued to you, in form of the voice on conscience. A so well known vague understanding that what is intended is WRONG.
Then you simply have 2 choices - you discard the thought as being wrong, or against the rightness and reason or, you choose to proceed with it. Almost instantly, your justifier mind will build a "logical" construct justifying your decision to you. "everyone does this". "I saw it done by others". "article says it's OK to do". and so on.
This is, my friend, a very simple way of living the righteous life - listening to your voice of conscience every moment. Same time, it is about the hardest way possible.
Also, many dulled that voice so much that it can barely be heard anymore.

It does not. I never said it does. I said - this is how it works, where the true nature of man is involved. As in - should work. Question to you is - do you want to live the life of the world or the life of the righteousness? It is YOUR call. As what you said is nothing but your justifier mind, making instant excuse for you.
