Yes, "enlightenment" is, I think, often incremental. Any "enlightenment" I have has come that way, sometimes just a small epiphany that opens a little light.
Yes, I feel like "awoken". It hasn't always been comfortable though. I thought I knew how things really where and I'm finding out I don't. That way of thinking has it's benefits as well as it's pitfalls. That old line: The more I know the less I understand is appropriate. I'm free of some old illusions and have the nagging feeling I'm still under some other ones. It has been a painful process but each level I make it through comes with a sense of freedom.
