Freemason's believe in Christ, they just have a different opinion on the Trinity.
They were nearly a hundred yrs. after the original settlers, but clearly had a hand in forming this country.
I think when we say this is a nation founded on Christianity, some think that it was an orthodox style, when it was actually a seperatist form, the Puritans were not part of the English orthodox and desired to have personal revelation, which unfortunately allowed for charismatic domineering individuals to move in and force their form or doctrine upon those that were not strong enough to stay on the path of a direct relationship with God.
They did create moral order, and set standards of acceptable behavior, in order to slow the process of sensualism with the new found freedoms from the organized clergy and their oppressions.

Freedom, in order to be a Freemason one must believe in a Supreme Being, not necessarily Jesus Christ. Freemasons do not exclude someone because they don't believe in Christ. It also doesn't exclude those that believe in Christ. So your statement that "Freemasons believe in Christ" is only true for those Freemasons who are/were Christian.
No it was over territory and treasure, and revenge, like all wars.
Old Testament. New Testament. Everywhere. I'm not going to go search for the verses, you're the believer here, you should know the Bible, not me.
As for wars always being fought for territory, treasure and revenge, what kind of fantasy world are you living in? Seems very romantic, but here in the real world we have religious wars, ethnic wars, and people who are just plain *******s that want to fight.
