I don't have a grip with religion. I do have a gripe with some religious people.
Yep! I have a gripe with some religious people - and some atheists, too. It’s not whether someone believes or not, it’s how they go about expressing it/disrespecting each other in the process.

In my experience religion isnt about money or power or weath it is about Faith or Believe in something greater then oneselves and that is not achieved through any of the actions that you described. The true path to a holy/ religious life is the complete opposite of what you wrote, service to others, love faith kindness heart and caring for others and the world around you. Anyone is capable of Love are they not?

Religions do not tell you to be anything they present scripture or texts that was written by god or man and dont force you to like it read it or otherwise it is your choice to go there or not too.

Religion is for the masses not any class creed or social structure any Group is capable of engaging in conversation with or about God or whatever you beleive in not specificaly one class or the other.
Not all humans are one thing or the other you do not speak for the whole Human Race.
Then why are you doing exactly that?
