314. Not to make idols even for others (Ex. 34:17; Lev. 19:4) (CCN10).
The last three you listed (312-314) are interesting - those are neither good nor bad principles, they just seem irrelevant. I can see the reasons behind some other principles, even if I didn't agree with them. These just seem a reflection of human superstition about pictures and statues. Wasn't there a superstition that photos captured the soul, and hence people used to be scared of their photo being taken in the early days of the camera? I haven't verified that, so I might be off.

I am glad you also find these interesting and even more so the slow approach of considering each of these daily as opposed to one quick full-sweep scan that I really don't think does the learning "justice."
In addition to your observation, I can't help but also consider how many of these like these last three are decidedly effective with regard to promoting Judaism and/or squelching the promotion of others. To be expected of course, and perhaps what some might also consider the work of a god, but I am far more convinced this continues to demonstrate the work of man. In particular those who had a specific model in mind with respect to promoting their religion and ways over others. Of course back in the day and still to this day, we humans have always essentially worked to that end one way or another.
You also mention the last three rather than the last four for some reason. I also find it interesting that where many people believe God does not condone the killing of another human being -- for any reason -- here we read quite the contrary. I guess at least part of the debate is whether God forbids killing or is it more specifically that God forbids murder? Which begs the question, what is the difference?
I for one am against the death penalty generally speaking. I think life without parole is the more appropriate punishment for the worst of criminals.

But then again that's just me...
I didn't mention the previous one because I was only listing the ones I considered neither bad not good, just a bit pointless. 311, on the other hand, I consider a bad and harmful position to hold. And I agree with your interpretation of it and the hypocrisy in the religious positions linked to it.
318. Not to worship an idol in the way in which it is usually worshipped (Ex. 20:5) (CCN12).
