I don't like the rules and given practices of the "Politics & other controversies" sub-forum, so I don't go there.
Well, there is such a thing as character and courtesy as well.

Confused people like you should not be telling us your facts, as you constantly make absurd assertions that are easy to refute if you think about them.

Ha, you are back to misrepresenting. Perhaps if you stopped misrepresenting atheists (and patronizing those who recognize you are faking it) we would not constantly correct your misrepresentations.

It may have escaped your notice that your posts and Mystics have a habit of killing threads (along with a few other empty egos). Now think how more difficult that would be if we had other religions here constantly trying to tell us how they are correct, and repeating the same refuted arguments over and over. That is why we have the no proselytizing rule, to make actual conversations easier.

Stopping giving opinions as if they are facts, and misrepresenting people. And good luck having a discussion without evidence.

And no, you do not want a discussion, you want to tell us how superior you think you are.

If you need evidence for the existence of Higher Power go find it for yourself, it may do you some good. It will keep you from stopping threads here.
You and Mystic have drive the wagon off the track, now you blame others.

Yes, and this is perhaps why I don't bother to respond to so many comments in this forum that seem to be about all manner of other than the topic of the thread.

"Character and courtesy" are in this forum something like vegetarians at a steak house...

But questioning the existence of God or asking for evidence of the existence of God is an off-topic derail in most threads, like this one, yet it is not treated as such.

Why not? Whether God exists or not (or whether reality is God or not), religion can still have pros and cons. For example, people can discuss whether the ten Christian commandments are valid principles to follow if God does exist. And people can discuss whether the ten Christian commandments are valid principles to follow if God does not exist.

Just because someone is an atheist doesn't make religion (as in the human construct) and it's influences in the world disappear. The poster you replied to has tried many times to have discussions about the utility of religion, which can be had even if the truthfulness is in dispute.

Take this thread - the etymology of religion can be discussed regardless of whether a person believes God exists or not.

Perhaps I should bow to an expert in that category
