Not Gay bashing and I have a brother that is gay and have had many friends that are gay but I personally believe that in most part it is a personal life style choose. I believe Jesus died for everyone and seeks to try and have a personal relationship with everyone that has reached a age of accountability in this world. The Messiah came to seek and save the lost as everyone is that doesn't know him.

The book is dated but I do believe the authers love homesexuals as valuable persons and with interesting info try to reach out to them as persons made in the Lords image.

I can't imagine that there is widespread support for an organization who promotes sexual relations with children among gays and lesbians just as there isn't support among heterosexuals for men who go to Thailand and other places to have sex with young girls. Of course that's wrong but many people try to suggest that this is just what all gays and lesbians want. I really think that men in particular are always saying derogatory things about gays just to prove their own manhood to other guys which is pretty pathetic when you really think about it. American evangelicals are obsessed with homosexuality and the supposed decline in values and morals they associate with it. It's my opinion that what's really immoral is treating gays and lesbians like dirt and making every possible effort to make them feel ashamed and guilty just because their sexual urges are different from the rest of us.
any "god" that turns his back on a person because they love someone of the same sex is no god for me. any "god" that would send those who love someone of the same sex to burn in hell is no god for me. I can't imagine anyone can say that having gay sex or being gay is worthy of burning for eternity.
whether born gay or not isn't really that important. what is important is that God must be ashamed at all of the things we do (and don't do) in the name of religion. we have taken the Bible and slapped the faces of so many with it.

it's so easy to equate the two because that gives them leverage and gives some footing to the whole "gay sex is disgusting and a sin and they are all perverts" argument.
