If I was the robber I would have done the Hokey Pokey and shot jelly beans out my butt if the guy with the gun wanted me to. Changes robber's mind and religion my foot. The robber just didn't want to get his stuff blown all over the M&Ms.

As far as I am concerned the "merciful storekeeper" was probably a nice guy, but you don't stop crime by letting people get away with attempted robbery. If a person has enough cojones to do it ONE TIME then he has the cojones to do it a second and a third and a fourth. Maybe next time some innocent person (who does not havea gun handy) will get his head bashed with a baseball bat.

Nope. Should have called the cops. It would have been the RIGHT thing to do.

Yea, I agree with you. If the man was stupid enough to robb the store, then I'm sure he will say anything to get out of being shot.

I wouldn't have shot the guy but I would have called the police. He might robb someone else or worse.

I understand that these are hard times, but we can't go around stealing from people.

A lot of store owners would have just shot him. You have to give the guy credit for helping someone who just tried to rob him.

Whether or not the crook was sincere about being a Muslim, we'll probably never know.

"Jesus, seeing a man stealing,
asked him,
Did you steal?,
He said, 'No, by Allah, except Whom there is None who has the right to be worshipped'
Jesus said,

'I believe in Allah and suspect my eyes."
