If God were proven true, particularly the God of Abraham, then I'd take a moment to tell him that I believe he's a calloused, cruel, ill hearted (curse word) of a creature, and that whoever was responsible for giving him the power to create the world as he has should be kicked in the nuts for their stupidity.
I don't think your negative opinion of him would matter to him.
You will not get a straight answer from many believers. If they were to admit to thinking about what they would do if there was no god, then it would come off as them having doubted for a second and who knows how many meteors god's rightful wrath would send to earth ?
As for me, I would probably skip the asking of questions. Jeudo-Xian god's track record of telling the truth is rather shoddy.
Ok. I'll give you a straight answer First I'll tell you how I would feel.
I'd feel very, very,very dissappointed. I wouldn't feel stupid,I wouldn't feel duped, I wouldn't cringe around atheists,worried about hearing " I told ya so suckers". I wouldn't feel any shame.
I would feel like I lost my biggest fan and the love of my life. I'd mourn that loss for the rest of my life.
How would it change my life? I'd still treat people the way the God I thought existed wanted me to, simply because it just feels good to BE good and life is so much more pleasant when everyone feels repected. .
Also, since there hypothetically is no God, I could just once flip the middle finger at my a-hole neighbour

So you're saying that you would treat people the same, god or no god? Well then, can you answer this: If you, as you said, would treat people the same as you do, why do you need god? What does believe in god give you that you don't already "naturally" have?
In any case, you can flip your neighbor, i dare ya!! LOL
If God was proven to be true ( which He is) I will have lost nothing and gained everything.
If God was proven to be false, I will still have lost nothing because I have a fantastic life with God and have no regrets.
"If God was proven to be true ( which He is)"
Interesting, and which proof would that be?
