Sheesh, if this guy gained 300 pounds while sitting in the recliner, and most of what we eat is excreted.......How many pounds (tons) of waste...Now I've done it! I won't be able to get that visual out of my mind for awhile...
Holy sunshine. He was stuck to the recliner and they had to cut him away from it. I think I just vomited in my mouth a little.

Oh gosh... gonna throw up....can you imagine the smell???
It reminds me of the Nip/Tuck episode where the enormous woman was kind of...melted...into her couch and they had to move the whole thing into the operating room to try to amputate the couch from her flesh. She'd sat there in her own waste for so long that her skin rotted and started to grow into the surface of the fabric.
Ugh....I was gonna go for a snack in a few minutes. Now I'm having second thoughts. I just don't get it when it comes to this God/faith stuff, and from the sounds of stories like this, I hope I never will.
This occurred close enough that local news stations covered it. To add to the misery of this poor deluded man and his equally deluded wife, this occurred in a single wide trailer.
They showed the front trailer's door where rescue had to enlarge the door opening to get him out.
I think a large majority of Christians do believe in medicine and only do faith-healing as "secondary medicine" or when they're in a situation where medicine can't do anything. Still most of this thread seems to be about the odd people in this odd case. To me it kind of sounds like the victim himself deserves some responsibility for what happened.
Wow, no malicious intent to neglect her husband? Yeah right. By her continuing to listen to him about not calling for help she is guilty of neglect and abuse. If this was a child her Moderator cut: deleted would be in jail right now. (But my kid (Let's say a 16 year old) said don't call for help.....)
Moderator cut: Orphaned - OP is not about 'faith healing.'
Faith healing works but only for people of faith, that man just didn't have enough faith in the Lord.
So, lets assume you wake up one morning, and you can't see out of one eye, one arm and leg are numb and useless.
Who are YOU going to call?
