A 16-year-old girl who was raped in Bangladesh has been given 101 lashes for conceiving during the assault.
Quote:
Her rape emerged after her pregnancy test and Muslim elders in the village issued a fatwa insisting that the girl be kept in isolation until her family agreed to corporal punishment.
Well the forigen minister of Bangadesh claims the country is secular. It was offically secular when it achieved indepenance from Pakiststan in 1972, but military coups several years later changed it to an Islamic republic.
However Bangadesh has traditionally been more religious tolerance than its counterpart Pakistan and has largely escaped the terrorism which is rampant over in Paksitan.
IMO that isn't religion. That is insane barbarism.
Lash the rapist damn it, not the young girl who was the victim.
And people wonder why we fight them. Because they are evil and want to rule the world with their evil doctrine and ideas.
I wish I could personaly shoot the rapist, the lasher, and the person who ordered the punishment.
The actions of barbaric bastards make me MAD.
She got off easy compared to this probably pregnant woman who was half-buried in the ground and then stoned to death for adultry - all this supposedly based on the verdict of an islamic court. Seems some religious gurus obsess about sex a lot - wonder why that is.
That must be heck of a loving version of god. Or, maybe, someone needs to update the old law to a more modern version.
