Driving To Vegas?!?! (Las Vegas, Reno: how much, live in, money)

I live in canada,
but plan on taking a trip up to vegas, but wanted to visit Reno aswell.
if i drive to from Reno to Vegas, how long will it take,
would flying be an option?
and would it really be worth it?
or should i just stick with Las Vegas?

Driving to Las Vegas from Reno usually takes me about 6 to 7 hours if not stopping a lot to see the sights or anything. It's not an interstate drive but mostly 2-lane roads going through some little towns along the way.

I've seen round-trip air fares around the $100 range (U.S.). If taking a non-stop flight, it's around an hour and 15 minute flight. If booking a flight that's not a non-stop, it could be as much time as driving as some of those types of flights are either stopping or connecting at places such as Salt Lake City, San Francisco, Phoenix, or even Portland, Seattle or L.A.

So it all depends on how much time and money you have or how badly you want to see both Reno and Las Vegas, I guess.
