OP says he doesn't want to spend $4,000 for storage (and I agree that seems awfully high). But he's willing to spend goodness knows how much on a case he can't win. He'll have to pay any judgment...says he has enough to buy next house for cash, so this is a case where there actually IS blood in the turnip.
If your landlord has given you a notice, you should leave with no question asked. Why do you want to hold a house where the owners just want you out? It defeats the purpose of an appeal. You can appeal but at least don't go to court and make an idiot out of yourself in front of the judge with invalid arguments. The judge will tell you that the owner wants their house back plain and simple and then what will you tell the judge? Mr judge i don't care if they want their house back, i'm staying?
I wonder if the OP is getting the idea that they need to....
