I am so embarrassed now. The leak turned out to be a leak in the distilled water I bought for the nettie pot. It developed a leak, which I still can't find, but it's almost empty so the leaking is almost done. The handyman still has to fix the kitchen faucet so it wasn't a useless call, but still embarrassing.
Not everyone who posts on the retirement board is...retired that is. So for those of you who aren't I hope you're enjoying tour Labor (3) Day weekend. For now, this and others are things to look forward to. Once retired you'll likely find that they're times to hole-up at home with good food and drink and avoid the crowds and crazy drivers.
Come to think of it, I avoid crowds, stores and driving on all weekends.
I am, of course, 'laboring' this weekend. I had to laugh at myself yesterday when I found myself getting irritated because a customer told me to "Have a wonderful holiday weekend!". Me: "Yeah, right, chained to a cash register while you're out camping!" lol I didn't say that but I admit I thought it. It's been okay...just another weekend at Wally World. Tomorrow is my Fri., and I get time and a half. I'll take it.

Glad to hear it was a minor thing. Better to be a little embarrassed than have a big mess, right?
Ha ha. I think I'll just boil water from now on. That's why I bought the distilled water, to use in the neti pot. I've never had a plastic jug leak before so didn't even think of it until I went to move it & noticed it was almost empty.
The handyman was happy & I now I have a new kitchen faucet & an extremely clean bathroom floor.
My dear sweet MIL died early this a.m. on the West Coast. It was expected, she was 92. She went to sleep after getting pneumonia, which is what they say is the best way to go. This latest loss underscores how those of us approaching 70 or more may want to live it up, now.

Please accept my sympathy for the loss of your MIL. Reaching 92 is quite an achievement. It sounds like it was a peaceful passing. My preferred way to go, too.
I did some volunteer work at NY State Fair today in the glaucoma booth (90+ degrees temp.). Met a woman who is 98. Amazing.

I'm sorry about you loss and your husband's, NEG. I'd say that after 92 years she gave this thing we call life a really good run.

You have my condolences, RiverBird. Your MIL was fortunate to have a DIL who obviously cared for her.
