Happy Father's Day to all the fathers on Retirement Forum. No matter if you have bio children or adopted children or have been a teacher or have been an uncle or a friend -- you've all nurtured a child. And the vast majority of you seem so very nice and kind.

For those of you who are married, I hope your wife caters to your every whim. Oh, that's right -- that happens everyday anyway.

(I, on the other hand, am such a sh-t. LLLLLLLLOOOOOOLLLLLLL )

Happy Father's Day, Guys!

What Makes a Dad?

God took the strength of a mountain,
The majesty of a tree,
The warmth of a summer sun,
The calm of a quiet sea,
...
The generous soul of nature,
The comforting arm of night,
The wisdom of the ages,
The power of the eagle's flight,
The joy of a morning in spring,
The faith of a mustard seed,
The patience of eternity,
The depth of a family need,
Then God combined these qualities,
When there was nothing more to add,
He knew his masterpiece was complete,
And so, He called it....DAD!

Hope all our dads and granddads had a good day. (Hope that yard was mowed and that garbage was taken out).

Thank you both. Yeah! Even you, Fran. For the record, my wife and I are about even on the cater scale. Might be why we're still together.

Good male role models and parenting are critical for young people.

Happy Father's Day to all.

Props, too, to all the mothers who did a kick-butt job in raising their children with no help at all from the biological dads.

Save it for Mother's Day and I'll join your props. This was about Father's Day.

Heard what I thought was a funny Fathers day story yesterday. The father of two young girls had the fate of having his oldest daughters birthday fall on Fathers day. The main event of the day was her My Little Pony themed birthday party complete with artifacts and all the trappings a young daughter would want. He spent a very busy Fathers day being a Father and isn't that what it really is all about our lives as dads with our kids and not just us?
