LOL, I know what you mean about the prep time. About the cat, my mom was like that and she wouldn't go. Now that she can't go I'll bet she wish she could. I do understand about leaving pets home but I make arrangements with my brother who likes staying here. I fixed the guest room like a 5 star hotel, guest room only crisp linens, stock the shelves with good food, some pre-cooked and munchies, a gift card to go out to dinner, wine for Jacuzzi nights, fun to do when it's snowing, firewood ready to go for the fireplace. The house is spi* and span and I arrange a housecleaner to come in. He and his girlfriend says it's like going on vacation. I don't think my pets know that I'm gone.

If you ever need a pet sitter and your brother is busy, call me. LOL
