I recently went to The Cooked Goose in Watch Hill. It is also a bakery and they are delicious. They take a somewhat normal breakfast and put a twist on it.
Also, I have only had lunch here (and I LOVE this place - so many healthy choices, they make everything right there, they even juice drinks for you combining fruits and veggies): Crazy Burger
Lastly, there's Ocean Mist (get there before the cold weather rolls in!)...yummy eggs benedict and AWESOME bloody mary's.
Location: says MA on my license but can be found wandering the beaches of RI

p.s. I almost forgot - if you like crepes, a new place opened up in Warren called Sage Cafe. Really neat little coffee shop, great selection, even gluten free items.
Thank you all for your replies. I will try some of the places suggested. However, it doesn't solve my original problem.
In India we were used to eating a completely different set of foods for breakfast. Now that I think of it, it is mostly carb heavy spicy food (in contrast to the eggs, meat and sweet carb items in US) In NYC I had a lot of international friends and ate variety of breakfast food. So I am sick of eating the same stuff eggs, meat, pancakes and other sweet stuff for breakfast.
How about any dimsum places open in the morning? A chinese place serving Congee in the morning? Or a Turkish place that is not just typical falafal and gyro wraps? I don't know much about Latin american breakfast but Mangu, rice and beans, was something I liked for breakfast in the small Dominican places in NYC.
Two of my favorite breakfast places are Athena's on Park Ave in Cranston, and BZ's Breakfast, Burgers & Beyond on Douglas Pike in Smithfield. Two great places with excellent food and reasonable prices.
My favorite breakfast around is the Country Kitchen in Seekonk. It's American style breakfast food, but has stuff you won't find most other places like raspberry corn pancakes. And everything there is delicious with a slice of love!
btw I gave some the impression that I'm not returning to the RI Forum. That is not true, I simply meant that I was all done with a certain thread that had gone to s#$%s. I am not going away that easy, sorry that I wasn't clearer.
EATS on Rt. 6 near the Barrington/Seekonk line is great too.
Oh I love Eats, now you have me looking for an excuse to go to Seekonk! Never had breakfast there though, but I'm sure he wouldn't serve anything that was subpar.
