A little late this month, sorry. But here is the updated map of serious violent crimes through September, which marks the 2nd straight month of decreasing incidents vs. 2021 (32 September of this year vs. 57 of September of 2021 which was a particularly rough one). Last month, West End saw the greatest number of incidents (5) followed by Lower South Providence, Olneyville, and Valley (all tied at 4). September incidents are in gray.

I say this absolutely appears to be retaliation.

^This is serious stuff, folks. This is a person who was clearly determined to kill.

Meanwhile, there was an armed robbery on (#598) Branch Ave.. That is the Shell gas station, a place that has been prone to trouble.

Violence definitely appears to be on the rise in the city, in recent weeks. And seems to be centered around the projects. Two weeks after the shooting we discussed at the HARTFORD PROJECTS (and the coinciding MANTON HEIGHTS shots fired that occurred 30 minutes later), yesterday morning there was another (double) shooting at the HARTFORD PROJECTS. These troubled projects are notorious throughout New England as a center for heroin/fentanyl trade and production.

Night of Violence in Providence: Double Shooting, Fast Food Worker and Student Robbed and Assaulted

https://www.golocalprov.com/news/nig...-worker-and-st

Additionally, a Wendy's employee was robbed/assaulted at gunpoint when walking home on Admiral St..

"Fast Food Worker Assaulted at Gunpoint
A fast food worker was assaulted leaving work in Providence early Saturday morning.
According to the victim, he had just left work at Wendy’s on his bicycle, when he said he was chased by two men on Admiral Street,
He told police the suspects brandished weapons, robbed him, and assaulted him. The assailants reportedly took his phone and wallet.
Police say the victim had a bloody nose and cuts to his face."

And this comes right after the PC student was robbed at gunpoint outside a Douglas Ave. bar. It's very likely that CHAD BROWN thugs were involved in both of these. This should serve as a reminder that despite its proximity to PC, Douglas Ave./Admiral St. is a rough inner city neighborhood with bad projects at both ends, and should be avoided by students.

Folks, I wouldn't say this if I didn't sincerely see it as necessary. You NEED to avoid the HARTFORD PROJECTS and surrounding areas, as bullets continue to fly there on an almost daily basis. Two more recent logged incidents:

As always, be safe and treat this section of town as any war zone (enter only as absolutely necessary and do what you have to do to protect yourself).

The recent non-stop violent crime in the Hartford Projects probably doesn't affect you in Jamestown, but I believe one of our forum members rides a bike in that area. This is certainly pertinent information for that person as well as the reader.

I understand that pretending crime doesn't exist is the trendy thing in your political party. Personally, I find that morally reprehensible.

Another trouble spot you really want to avoid right now is the corner of Elmwood Ave. and Mawney St., in the Elmwood Historic District. This corner has always been bad, but there have been quite a few shootings there lately. Some might recognize this location as where Fernandez Liquors is.

Exclamation Man shot in the head/Wanskuck

A man was shot last night in in the area of Yorkshire St.. This is in a sketchy area around Salina St., Glasgow St., etc.. It's been discussed here before, as the location of multiple shootings in recent years. Also not far away is CHAD BROWN. After police responded to Admiral St. for a 911 hangup, they heard gunshots in the area or Yorkshire St. when they pulled over a speeding car. A passenger had been shot in the head.
