The couple of blocks close to Ridge Ave are OK (Oak Hill neighborhood). Going north down the street, it deteriorates rapidly. Don't get close to the high school.

Good to hear Oak Hill neighborhood is nice. Would walking north on the street as a single female to get to shops on rte 1 be safe?

Not sure what shops you're talking about. Rte 1?? The ones on Hope St? If so, sure. You would be walking south.

A Rhode Island quirk. Route numbers on maps do not relate to Rhode Islanders, especially in urban areas like Pawtucket or Providence. You have to refer to roadways by their names.

Kenyon Ave is a long road. What part? Near Cottage? On the other side of Benefit?

Generally speaking, I wouldn't say it's a good area. You could do much worse in Pawtucket though.
