CBS is the best, IMO. It also wins the most awards for journalism in the metro. The people are the most polished and least folksy of the local news personalities. They seem to have the fewest blunders too.

Fox news at 10 takes the cake for the sloppiest newscast.

I'd probably re-state the question as which is the least worst. Probably NBC12. But we rarely turn to it other than for closings and winter weather reporting.

I've always been partial to NBC 12.

So many times have I watched where clips don't play, horrible ab-libs when they're not even needed and over all most of the cast is old.. This channel just makes me feel like a hick whenever it's on.

12 is the worst. sappy, folksy dribble with too many blunders to tolerate.

Eh, can't agree. I hate to agree with the NY guy as I'm from Boston, but all the Richmond news is pretty bad. It's like watching the news 5-10 years ago. Granted 12 has HD but still behind. Fox news doesn't even have HD It's F'ing 2011!!!! I also like there color scheme makes me feel like i'm in the 70's. Plus does anybody notice the news casters work on multiple stations??? WTF??? thats some sad budget crap there.
