indeed...I see no more below feezing temps at all for the 10 day forcast. The lows are all at least in the mid 30's, with high's averaging around 50. Looks like spring is finally starting. I wouldn't be too surprised if we get a snowless April this year (don't want to jinx it though).

Rochester is so bipolar. It's so beautiful here from Spring to Fall, but the winter is so unbelievably brutal.

Honestly, we have had such a mild winter this year. I cannot complain at all... hardly any snow! It was great for driving!

This winter wasn't too bad. It seemed like it held off until December, but then as soon as it was december, we had snow on the gound thru December, January (though we had a few very warm days in January) February, and March...and now its April and we seem to be fully into spring. I think I like this better than the sporadic snow that seems to come and go in November and last thru April, with a lot of thaws inbetween. We didn't have as many thaws...but winter didn't seem very long. Summer also essentially lasted to October this past year. Can't really complain. I look forward to enjoying the WHOLE summer this year as it is absolutely beautiful here. We moved back to the area in mid August from NC so we spent the first 2/3 of summer baking down there.

Thanks for the sushi info. I just moved here from CT and love sushi (among other things). I would hate to have to find my favorite sushi restaurant by trial and error. I hope that california rollin' will be my new favorite spot. THANKS!!!!

Is anyone else a fan of Edoya in Gates? I like it a lot. Much more traditional than California Rollin, but just as good I think. Also, it almost sounds criminal to say, but Wegmans makes pretty good sushi.

Shema Sushi in the VIllage of Webster is the NEXT best to California Rollin' in my opinion... the selection isn't as large- but it is creative and delicious.

Hi!

Don't be afraid to be proud of Wegmans!! We moved from Rochester to SC in August and miss our friends and Wegmans!! There isn't another store that even comes close to Wegmans. Interestingly, when we mention Wegmans to some of the grocery people here, many have heard about it and some have visited them as part of trying to improve their stores!!

So, be proud and mostly be thankful Rochester has such a wonderful company serving the residents!

By the way, I really enjoy reading the Rochester area forum. It keeps me in touch with the things I loved about the area!

Don't get me wrong, I really like Wegmans, but being an Albany boy originally my loyalty will always be with Price Chopper.

I feel like Wegmans is almost TOO nice... like you couldn't just go there at 3 AM and hang out (which I've done at Price Chopper literally dozens of times with my buddies.) Price Chopper is my number 1, but Wegmans is my number 2. What I like about both companies is that they're both privately owned, family run, and based in upstate NY.
