These posts are a great help. But there is no information about crime rates etc. Is it a nice area. can you walk the streets to exercise, or ride a bike. Any info would be appreciated.

you can do a search on line for crime watch and give a zip code and see current and historical data on all reported crime. i use this data in my research and get email updates for an area. there's more then one crime watch site so you have your pick. plus citydata.com does give crime rates for small cities too. this forum is just a part of citydata.com so you should enter the city and you'll get a chart on crime rate.

Default I live in Elk Grove!

Land Park/Pocket /Greenhaven is an older area, apartment style living is not common or there very old. If you want to live close to downtown and not be in a bad area try a duplex in Greenhaven. I would contact a realtor in the area for up and coming areas in the downtown area.

Good Luck!
