I have lived in Sacramento for just over a year, specifically in the Arden-Arcade area. Ever since we moved here I have gotten this weird feeling, and not just due to the wanna-be thugs hanging around the Walmart on El Camino.

The only way to explain it is a negative, dark energy/feeling. It is the exact opposite feeling of what people describe feeling in Mt. Shasta or Sedona, AZ. There is an energy, but it is very, very dark, almost foreboding. Has anyone else felt this way?

We spoke with one person who was from South Dakota and is currently living here and he felt it was due to the seismic activity of California. However, this is not true as we were born and raised in the Bay Area and never felt this energy until moving to Sacramento.

We are looking to move out of here as soon as possible due to the negative energy/vibe/feeling.

I would love to hear any feedback from people with similar or dissimilar experiences.

Yes! The whole county is garbage and its always been weird. You're probably gone now, but it's a sick sprawling mess.

yep, sounds like home to me!

A 4-year old thread dredged up out of nowhere? This gives me a weird vibe.

Sacramento is a high income, yet relatively affordable affordable city, in a density sweetspot, with European planning in one of the best natural environments on the continent.

I suppose when there is little legitimate complaint in terms of a broader context, giving into to (contagious) mental demons can start to seem reasonable.

"Dark energy" can commonly and almost magically seem to reduce as one's personal quality of life increases. Slowing or ceasing drug use, improving income, exercise, sunlight, and increased community and other social participation are five traditional, true-blue avenues to decreasing personal perception of "dark energy".

Lots of negative, dark energy can be felt in areas that were built on top of or near old burial grounds inhabited by Native Americans or early settlers. Many undocumented burial sites all over NorCal.

yeah, zombie threads rise from their grave once in a while, and I get reminded of the snarky responses of years past.
