I'm moving from downtown to midtown this weekend, and I wanna get rid of my old mattress. Where do I drop it off? or do I have to hire a junk collector wanted or not?

Thanks for your answers

Call the city... You get two free ( bulky item) pick ups per year.

If you're planning on buying a new one, they will usually haul off your old one when they deliver the new one.

The last three days I've seen people sleeping right in the middle of a well-traveld sidewalk downtown and I'm seeing more and more toilet activities right out there in the open - even from the non-homeless. We're looking so third-world you could probably just toss the mattress out on the curb and it would be put to some use. Or we could ship all those who don't mind stepping over the sleepers (and smelling those who choose to wiz in front of us just because they can) over to India or Afrikka if they prefer to live in such an uncivilized style.
