Okay, it's driving me nuts that I can't find info on this online. Does Utah not do fish fries during lent? I am not used to it still. & this is my 5th lent here. lol I am from Ohio & there are a ton of different ones to choose from that serve all sorts of different options. I realize there are more Catholics there, but, Utah has a decent population. However, I can't find fish fries. All I found was it said Magna is doing one on the 11th & Draper the 18th, but that's it. Tooele did last year, but that's not so close to me. =) Please help! lol LMK if your parrish does them. Mine does not. TIA! =)

Sorry the one in Tooele isn't close for you. I do believe we are doing it again this year. Maybe if you contact the diocese they can let you know of any more coming up.

Thx. I actually did try the diocese & the lady I got had no idea what I was talking about, but I think English was her 2nd language & she didn't understand some of what I was saying.

@ katz. lol I'll take the funeral potatoes. Yummy! Green jello, um, you can keep it.

Hubby is in the Knights of Columbus (Catholic mens charity group) , so I'll see if some of the higher ups know. I miss my fish!!! Drenched in malt vinegar, thank you. =)

LOL...no worries

Great minds think alike huh? I could use a good fish fry myself! Hopefully the church in Tooele is doing it for Lent!

Where in OH are you from? My inlaws still live there.

My relatives live in that area too. Barberton to be exact. Small world. I will check the church bulletin to see when the next one is.

Really small. I was born in Barberton, I have a number of relatives who work at the hospital. I grew up in & my parents still live in the SW part of Akron, called Kenmore that is right next to Barberton. Have you been there? The chicken there is TDF. & the hot rice, yum!

I have not been to Kenmore, but my sis in law works at the hospital. Way cool! LOL We went back to visit a couple of years ago and my parents in law took us to a really cool restaurant. It is an old airplane hanger. I can't remember the name of it, but the food was delish!
