Eh to me a tax is a tax, and we ALL have more than enough of that stuff. In Herriman the developers of Rosecrest originally made it seem as if there were "covenants" that you had to abide by. They sent a virtual portfolio of so called rules and regulations. Well come to find out that it's all bark and NO bite as it's not a HOA and they dont' enforce ANYTHING. Although in the beginning they sent out strong/nasty letters warning about the limit in time to finish all ones landscaping. We and those around us did comply, but ONE turkey up the street to this day has NO backyard, just dirt, and not nice at that. So indeed there are those that have authority and those that don't. They can't even enforce the NO pocket bikes and ATV on the city street laws around here. Folks think they are in the country. I'm still waiting for the 1st fatal accident to stem from this before they crack down on it. Oh well, end of rant

To me a tax is involuntary, this is something you sign up for. Our HOA does a good job, they got me keeping my trash can out side and not behind a fence.
