There is a place at Culebra and Callaghan that is awesome. They have the regular flavors but they also have Natural. If you like Mangos, ask for the "Natural Mango" (I think natural is the word) In any case, it's real mango but intermingled with the ice. It's very very good and it's not the only one like that but It's all I get. I agree that if you are on the SE side, go to Mr. Wizard.

The BEST one I have ever been to is 'Tropical Sno' in Wimberley. It is truly SHAVED ice!!! It is sooo good (particularly with the cream on top). I find that most places that offer the cream do something similar.. but nothing compares to the light texture of the one in Wim.

I've been trying to find a comparable one in SA ever since! There is one on San Pedro.. may even be the same franchise but it wasn't exactly as good but still yummy!

On Hillcrest at Babcock.

What are the snow cones with cream called? I really really like them but can't EVER remember what they're called. (And are those a San Antonio thing or a Texas thing? We didn't have 'em in central Illinois or in StL!)

Leche Sweetened milk with a little cinnamon.

My wife and daughter love the Frigid Frog at the Bandera Pointe (1604 & Bandera next to the Panda Express) shopping center. It is real shaved ice not crushed ice. If you like Mexican snow cones my wife says thier pineapple chamoy is great.
