Gotta put a TON of mothballs down in the yard, as that helps to dissuade them, but they'll just go to the neighbors. Need to have them trapped and killed. Usually they're digging for grubs, and since we haven't had any rain for a while, they're probably finding places where the lawn is watered often. The bumper crop of acorns isn't helping either, as they love those.

This happened to my parents yard back when I was in high school. Had to basically redo the whole yard. I bet there will be a few people with shotguns sleeping on their yards now

We had chickens invade our backyard once, they slept on a tree, took over the yard, harassed the cats, and begin taking their food. I even tried catching them once, starting with the small ones, but the mother hen came at me and I'm a city boy and this was in the city so I got scared off pretty easily. rancho to come take care of them, they came and trapped em all within minutes, I was amazed.

It always amazes me how people continue to move farther and farther outside of the city and then are surprised when the critters invade. It truly sucks to have your yard torn up that way, but isnt that part of the risk you run when you move out there?

At one of my $2+ million listings my client walked out to see one of the largest hogs she's ever seen just hanging out on her porch eating acorns in the middle of the day. Every bit of 500 lbs. It was like a small hippo.
