I *heard* that Japan is in worse shape than what we're seeing on TV. I hope you can come back and report otherwise. What a great trip, though. Especially on someone else's dime.

The area I'm going to shouldn't be impacted by that, or at least I hope it isn't. Probably not the best time to visit, but you have to take it when you can get it.

anyone drive on 410 tonight? police everywhere. I saw them in groups of 5-8 taking radar in several different places.

410 was down to one lane around 8:30 pm tonight for road work around Culebra to Marbach.

yeah, I made the mistake of getting on it yesterday afternoon @ Culebra and it definitely isn't bike friendly.. little rocks hitting me and the grooves taking my tire wherever it wanted to isn't fun at all.
