I know there are fireworks going on at Woodlawn, but are there other locations for fireworks this year? Are there any at the Riverwalk?

We usually watch the displays at Fiesta Texas or the Sonterra Country Club.

does anyone know if the drought's going to cause any restrictions? we don't set off fireworks ourselves, but just wondering if it'll be worth climbing up on the roof this year.

If you go to Six flags- do you watch them from inside the park? Do you have to pay for a full ticket to watch the fireworks there?

We just find a spot outside the park and watch. Fireworks start at 9 PM sharp.

A good place to park to watch the fireworks at Fiesta Texas is the road leading to the Valero corporate offices...nice long street to park on and grassy area to sit on (bring blanket or folding chairs), with a perfect view of the fireworks. I wish I could go this year, I'll have to stay home and make sure none of the neighbors sets the lawn on fire like they did on New Year's Eve.

Missions Stadium usually has fireworks after their 4th of July game. Be prepared for some of the worst music you've ever heard, and probably most depressing, but a pair of earbuds will fix that.

Thanks Hedgehog Mom! So- what do you think about watching from the parking lot of La Cantera? Would that work too?
What's funny is that we see them from our apartment right now (Haven at the Rim) but we're building our house right now and should be closing and moving in right before the 4th.
