Jeeps are mainly bought as status symbols now and they're no longer as tough as they use to be for off-roading...gentrified if you will.

They need geography lessons over at Channel 12. They have the headline that a tornado touched down near Balcones Heights...the area of Maria Elena Avenue and 38th Street. Just one minor problem...if you look at a map of the area these streets are nowhere near Balcones Heights !!! Keep going Channel 12 you're giving the Excuse-News a run for their money....

hi
A member of a French basketball board/forum uses to say that SA is not so attractive for young players, and quote HEB supermarkets as one of the rare attraction.
It seems by checking this SA thread that this man has never put his legs in San Antonio.
For all Europpeans who love Spain, i guess that they will appreciate SA too.

Regards

I would say mid 90's. Before that I don't remember people driving around on the highway with a clean Jeep with all the attachments like a snorkel, jerry cans, scissor jacks, roll out canvas tents, etc. The list could go on and on but the point is none of that ridiculous stuff gets used for most people putting them on their jeeps.

Oh, now I get what you're saying...

Basically, that people no longer actually USE their Jeeps. They just rub them with a diaper and take the doors off on weekends to look cool.

I have an old Jeep (early '80s) down in Key West FL that's totally open air, grungy as h*ell, but still runs like a champ. It's the perfect island car. And god forbid I'd ever try to keep it clean

I bought my Jeep[ as a cheap SUV to haul my bike and running things without having to cram it in the car. It was not a status symbol. But, maybe I'm out of the ordinary?
