An email system would be nice.

With the tough economy, we have to remember not to be too complacent. A strong community will help deter crime. GET TO KNOW YOUR NEIGHBORS!

[quote=gwrober;7025816]
Watch out for dogs - a friend of ours was attacked by a loose pit bull. Killed her dog, attacked her and her husband. Her husband is still recovering from damage to his leg. She is starting a petition about dangerous animals.

Hummm....perhaps a HUGE LAWSUIT against the owners would help bring attention to the risk of having attack dogs.

I personally think they should be banned from the neighborhood/county...but I know that there are many that think it is not fair.

Even if they are "nice" "Loved" dogs, it is in their breeding to attack and once they do not stop for anything.

A coworker just had to put down her beloved pit bull because he saw someone walking their dog, for some unknown reason became fixated on the dog, slammed her fence with his body to the point he broke the fence and attacked the poor dog. My friend was heartbroken for the injuries to the other dog, and is paying huge vet bills for it, but stated that she felt the risk was too great that her dog, that had NEVER before shown this side of aggression might do it again.

Sad story, but it happens...

NOW you are talking. To have it and know how to use it IF the need ever arose is some of the best insurance you need these days. DH and I just discussed the fact neither of us would loose a moments sleep if push came to shove and we had to protect ourselves in our home...no a single moment.

still have to convince my wife, but I know a major crime like that on MY STREET would probably push her over the edge.
I would probably sleep better if I got rid of some trash like that. I have a lot of agression that needs to come out and that would probably do the trick..

no, I think some seriously angry residents would be more beneficial to the neighborhood than a few pills. These people need to be hurt bad and hurt all over the place to get the message. They're not smart and really nothing I would even consider human. That's why society won't miss them and will benefit from their demise.
