Can anyone recommend a great Home Inspector that doesn't overcharge? Thanks!

i don't have a recommendation but I would go on Yelp! and research it there. Usually people will put opinions on that site. Home inspection shouldn't cost more than $200 though

Depends on the property that needs the inspection. Most of your inspector haven't a faint clue how to build a house yet they inspect them all of the time. Yeah, I have family that inspects and none can build a dog house....and that's typical. The good news is that existing properties, the inspector only inspects what he can see. There's nothing structural about the inspection or any high knowledge items that he will see. Just a general inspection, Chris Jackson does a pretty decent job. If the house is under construction, it's a completely different ball game. I only know of one that has a clue and he's probably the best within a 100 miles. He's been an FHA/VA inspector in prior years and also does inspections for banks. That would be Joe Keresztury. He knows structural inspections. So hire the guy you think is best for the job. If hiring the cheapest, then don't bother with it at all. Getting just anybody out there will end up with a bad report either not calling out a defect or calling out a false defect costing money to have evaluated. That's why it's critical to get someone with a clue. Best of luck

Not true. $200 is very cheap for an inspection. Not sure I'd go with one that only charged that.

Will this guy get under the house and check the foundation or just stick a flashlite in the opening of the crawl space, will he check the attic, the electrical, the plumbing, roof, termite damage, wood damage, water damage, drainage, etc.

The last time I got a home inspection it was less than 200... inflation I guess.
