That was what the management originally said they were going to do, but AFAIK the WW White location never reopened after it closed "temporarily" to get the new one started up.

They'll be awfully close to El Jarro de Arturo, which IMO is the Earl Abel's of Mexican restaurants.
Yup, the Blanco location has been hugely successful. Parking can be a problem even at 8pm on a Tuesday night.

Explain the Earl Abel's/El Jarro comparison...?

Iconic restaurant for that area of town.

Well, if that's the case, then I don't see it being a problem for either restaurant. In my opinion, each place has very different ambiance, cuisine and clientele.

Kind of.

I was thinking more along the lines of the food at both being mostly comfort food. Also that both the decor and presentation are a little dated at each.

I wasn't here decades ago, but I get the sense that both restaurants are popular because they haven't changed in years.

It'll be interesting to see if the new competition cuts into El Jarro's business.

I am not surprised that the 50-50 off wurzbach is gone. Went inside there a few months ago and left without even ordering food. The menu just didn't look appealing.
