Anyone tried Smokey Mo's yet? It seems like it is about at the Bill Miller level of BBQ?

I’ve had it a few times. They’ve actually been around for a while now. It’s a couple of steps up from BM. We like it.

We have one near our house and we stop there every 3 or 4 weeks here lately. I love their pork tenderloin sandwich. It's a tiny bit better overall than Bill Miller's but they don't have fried chicken. I love Bill Miller's fried chicken.

Napa Flats in The Vineyards has closed. The parking lot seemed busy in the evenings but their weekday lunch seemed slow.

It also looks like LaCantinita has closed on Blanco South of 1604. I have driven by it on Friday and Saturday night and it looked closed.

I've heard of Smokey Mo's BBQ, but not the others. Are they "here today, gone tomorrow" eating establishments? Wapo Taco? Really?

Stouts has at least one other location. And Wapo Taco has gotten rave reviews from friends of ours. It's not Tex-Mex. We like Guajillo's which isn't Tex-Mex so if we're ever near Wapo Taco I'm sure we'll try it.

I went there today to eat at the former Jimmy's Egg in the Medical Center, which I knew was no longer being used (the name), and it appeared to be closed down. Anyone know why the owner closed? I wanted to see "my" server, Victor, who was always there and very kind and helpful.
