jweb, I'm not sure I get your point (or question). The question in the survey is designed to gauge whether restaurant patrons agree or disagree with the statement. If you agree, check that. If you disagree, check that. It's just an opinion survey, dude.

I think the point is that the question is ridiculous. The question about comparing an Irish pub to all European restaurants is exactly the same as comparing Tong's Thai to all Asian restaurants. How could you say an Irish pub is the same as most German, Italian, French, etc., etc. restaurants? You couldn't. It is exactly the same as asking someone to say a Thai restaurant is the same as most Japanese, Vietnamese, Korean, etc., etc., restaurants. Why would anyone respond in agreement to the question?

I took the question to be "Does Tong's do anything to distinguish itself"? Some people may say it's "just another Asian restaurant, ho hum" and I think that's what they're trying to find out. But I have never lost any sleep over a survey question. If I don't get it, I move on.

thank you, forest. that was my point. it is an absurd statement/question to pose. i attempted to illustrate absurdity with absurdity.

What is opening next to the new Alamo Drafthouse? On the upper level near Laugh Out Loud Comedy Club?

Any knowledge?

Rapscallion: back to Arirang (again). I passed by the place around midnight yesterday and saw many more cars parking there. Looks like they might pick up more business late at night when others are closed already.

I always figued the place was a whorehouse...

TACO REINDO is open! (and lousy)
Taco Reindo on san pedro is good, so i will avoid this one on austin highway.
